I drew something. Me. I actually picked a pencil up and drew something last night. What is more, it is recognisable.
It has nothing to do with Island, which is the challenge I am supposed to be facing, but was the item closest to hand when I got into bed with a pencil and paper last night. I reckon anybody could tell what this is:
It's a bear. A Beanie bear. I may keep practising with it because it's poseable. I reckon this drawing is definitely a bear, though doesn't bear sufficient resemblance to the bear which it was supposed to be (...I know, but please bear with me)
I would never have believed that I could draw anything even approaching this "good" and it has given me a little confidence in trying more pencil adventures. I'm so excited, I can hardly bear it.
The point of this particular pencil post is to say that even I recognise that this is a position from which progress can be made and that I see a fair possibility that, with practice, I might actually be able to produce a passable pencil drawing one day.
Whoop!
